Lail (Night)

10 nights? LAYIL
by Heer Saleti

لیل is being used for days of misery in every literature.

In Sura 89 you will find comparison of two eras one of لیل and the other of فجر .

After fourth verse عاد ، ثمود ، فرعون is described . Why …………? Because their era is described as era of وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍ . The days of misery and sufferings for the people but for عاد ثمود and فرعون the same era was of عشرت.

It is important to note لَيَالٍ عَشْرٍ is wrongly translated as ten nights.

This is مرکّب توصیفی which means “عشر “ is used as adjective, describing لیال

It was meant ten nights it would have been عشرۃ لیال

Al Baqarah by Dr. Qamar Zaman

Baqra (بقرۃ)is derived from the root letters (ب ق ر). The basic meaning is to tear, to divide, to open, to become blind.
A noun is derived from these basic meanings for cow. In general a holy thing is called "COW" You must have seen people saying that you have made your ideas a holy cow for you.
In sura 2 /67-71, cow is anything outside Gods Commands. When Moses asked to leave the cow, the people said "are you joking ?" the answer is amazing, Moses did not Yes or No. He said “if I am joking then I am an Illiterate person.”

The answer clearly shows the depth of demand. Leaving the cow is literacy and if saying jokingly is illiteracy. They further wanted the details of this cow,

Now if it was a cow (an animal) there is no sense in asking the details of an animal. It is just like us asking to leave everything outside Quran.

So many of us will say what are the things we should leave as so many things tally with Quran. It is like asking to leave Namaz and people will certainly say are you serious and what is bad in it if we continue and so on so forth. when they asked for further details Moses said “It does not make anything compulsory (farz) or its a dawn, a new morning (Bikr).
Only a thing made compulsory by God is Farz. Anything outside Wahi is not Farz (compulsory) but Nafil (optional) or Sunnat (copy of someone), so this cow i.e teachings outside Wahi can not make any order binding and compulsory nor it is a new dawn which brings light in the life.

The people of Moses were not willing to leave their faiths and rituals so they asked for more details. So Moses said “Its Yelow but bright and appealing to the masses”.
Yellow color is known to mask the real color .Yellow journalism, yellow books are known to be fake.

You apply the meaning and you will find the answer, The answer of Moses is clearly indicating towards the man made religion which is fake but very popular amongst the masses.

The people never accept whatever you say. Same was the case with the people of Moses they again and again asked so that they could avoid the Divine commands So they halfheartedly accepted that yes this cow has become doubtful to us and asked for further details and promised to accept the divine commands.
Moses answered,
“This is such an ideology which is not humble to people rather it infuriates nor it satisfies anybody. Although it is authentic in the eyes of the followers but there is nothing in it at last they accepted although they were not willing to do so.”
